JUDGES - Named after the "Judges of Israel," the heroic leaders whose deeds it records, this book covers a period of time from the death of Joshua to the birth of Samuel, an era often called "the dark ages" of Hebrew history. Here is a story, on the human side, of disobedience and disaster, and on the divine side, of direction and deliverance. Of the 13 judges named, only 3 are well known: Deborah, Gideon, and Samson.

kjv@Jonah:1
JONAH - The Old Testament counterpart of John:3:16, this book declares the universality of God’s love embracing even pagan nations. Its authorship and historicity are disputed. If one is willing to accept the miraculous, there is no compelling reason to deny its historicity. There is a strong possibility that the book is about Jonah and not by him. The author relates how Jonah refused God’s call to preach to the people of Nineveh, his punishment for this disobedience, his ready response to a second summons, and his bitter complaint at God’s sparing the city following her repentance. Christ Himself alludes to Jonah when speaking of His own death and Resurrection ( Matthew:12:39, Matthew:16:4; Luke:11:29-32 ).

MATTHEW - From at least the 2nd century A.D., the Gospel of Matthew has been ascribed to Matthew the publican, tax collector, and disciple. It is the most complete account of Jesus’ teachings and was written to convince the writer’s Jewish audience that Jesus was the Messiah descended from David, the One promised by the Old Testament Prophets. It is peculiarly the Gospel for Israel. The most significant teaching passages are the Sermon on the Mount ( Matthew:5-7 ) and the parable sections (especially Chapter Matthew:13 ).

kjv@Hebrews:1
HEBREWS - Although tradition ascribed Hebrews to Paul, it is now generally believed to have been written by someone other than the Apostle, but certainly someone who was acquainted with Paul’s teaching. The Epistle portrays Jesus, who performed the perfect sacrifice for the sins of the world, as the great High Priest of the line of Melchizedek ( Genesis:14 ). The Bible’s only definition of faith occurs in this Epistle (Chap. Hebrews:11 ) and is followed by the "great line of splendor" of the men of faith.

index:GOOGLESURVEYQUOTES GoogleSurveyDisobedience This is the sum of what is said in the foregoing verses, that as by Adam's sin all his posterity are made sinners, and so are brought under a sentence of condemnation; in like manner by the obedience of Christ, all his seed are made righteous, and come under a sentence of justification of life: the persons made sinners are said to be "many", in opposition to the "one man", by whose disobedience they became so, and because there is an exception of one, even Jesus Christ; and mean all the natural descendants of Adam, who are many, and are so called, to answer to the subjects of justification in the next clause: what they are made sinners by, is "the disobedience of one man, Adam"; and by the first and single disobedience of his, in eating the fruit of the forbidden tree, by which they "were made sinners": the meaning of which is not, that they became sufferers for it, or subject to death on the account of it; the word used will not bear such a sense, but signifies men guilty of

index:GOOGLESURVEYQUOTES GoogleSurveyDisobedience Those who engage in civil disobedience must be willing to accept consequences.
From index@GOOGLESURVEYQUOTES.txt@
index:GOOGLESURVEYQUOTES GoogleSurveyDisobedience Civil disobedience as a political tactic is a relatively recent genesis, but resistance to human sovereigns is as old as civilization itself.

index:GOOGLESURVEYQUOTES GoogleSurveyDisobedience Jonah: A Picture of Disobedience Then Obedience
From index@GOOGLESURVEYQUOTES.txt@
index:GOOGLESURVEYQUOTES GoogleSurveyDisobedience If your act of disobedience involves others who are in authority over you, you must rectify the situation with them.
From index@GOOGLESURVEYQUOTES.txt@
index:GOOGLESURVEYQUOTES GoogleSurveyDisobedience Disobedience to God and those in authority over you can block the joy, blessings and inner peace which God desires for you.
From index@GOOGLESURVEYQUOTES.txt@
index:GOOGLESURVEYQUOTES GoogleSurveyDisobedience Use your will to relinquish each specific act of disobedience.
From index@GOOGLESURVEYQUOTES.txt@
index:GOOGLESURVEYQUOTES GoogleSurveyDisobedience As each of these qualities develops in you, you will find not only the sin of disobedience fading, but other sins as well.
From index@GOOGLESURVEYQUOTES.txt@
index:GOOGLESURVEYQUOTES GoogleSurveyDisobedience Thank and praise God for revealing your disobedience to you and for giving you meekness (submissiveness) and love for Him and others -- even your enemies.
From index@GOOGLESURVEYQUOTES.txt@
index:GOOGLESURVEYQUOTES GoogleSurveyDisobedience Rejoice in your new freedom and joy in the Lord as you realize that you are free from bondage of disobedience.
From index@GOOGLESURVEYQUOTES.txt@
index:GOOGLESURVEYQUOTES GoogleSurveyDisobedience It is because of the disobedience of children that many parents suffer, thereby inflicting double suffering on their parents.
From index@GOOGLESURVEYQUOTES.txt@
index:GOOGLESURVEYQUOTES GoogleSurveyDisobedience I have you told you the story of Eli who suffered because of his children's disobedience.
From index@GOOGLESURVEYQUOTES.txt@
index:GOOGLESURVEYQUOTES GoogleSurveyDisobedience Disobedience of children is the order of the day in every family, but that does not prevent God from doing His work.
From index@GOOGLESURVEYQUOTES.txt@
index:GOOGLESURVEYQUOTES GoogleSurveyDisobedience I encourage you today to listen to the Holy Spirit and dont harden your hearts with continual disobedience.
From index@GOOGLESURVEYQUOTES.txt@
index:GOOGLESURVEYQUOTES GoogleSurveyDisobedience Moreover, Adam and Eve's disobedience introduce fear and alienation into humankind's formerly perfect relationships with God and one another.
From index@GOOGLESURVEYQUOTES.txt@
index:GOOGLESURVEYQUOTES GoogleSurveyDisobedience The objective of this principality, or function, of Satan is to cause mankind to disobey the truth--the Word of God; and its attendant power is the spirit of disobedience.
From index@GOOGLESURVEYQUOTES.txt@
index:GOOGLESURVEYQUOTES GoogleSurveyDisobedience In short, disobedience promotes obedience to the lies of Satan.
From index@GOOGLESURVEYQUOTES.txt@
index:GOOGLESURVEYQUOTES GoogleSurveyDisobedience As we stated before, sin is defined as disobedience to the Word of God: foolishness.
From index@GOOGLESURVEYQUOTES.txt@
index:GOOGLESURVEYQUOTES GoogleSurveyDisobedience The spirit of disobedience undergirds our carnal nature--our sin nature; it pushes us to resist the truth and emboldens us to refuse to obey God.
From index@GOOGLESURVEYQUOTES.txt@
index:GOOGLESURVEYQUOTES GoogleSurveyDisobedience The spirit of disobedience combined with pride and lust draws us to focus on ourselves and on fulfilling the desires of our flesh and carnal mind, and not focus on God.
From index@GOOGLESURVEYQUOTES.txt@
index:GOOGLESURVEYQUOTES GoogleSurveyDisobedience The story of Jonah is about disobedience to God for Israel (and Speaks to US Today!) How often do we pray for Gods Grace for ourselves and how often do we fail to bestow that same loving Gods grace to others?
From index@GOOGLESURVEYQUOTES.txt@
index:GOOGLESURVEYQUOTES GoogleSurveyDisobedience So we believe that civil disobedience is justified only when government compels us to sin, or when there is no legal recourse for fighting injustice.
From index@GOOGLESURVEYQUOTES.txt@
index:GOOGLESURVEYQUOTES GoogleSurveyDisobedience It might require a form of civil disobedience (refusal to leave the prison without public acknowledgment of wrongdoing) but it is not anarchist in its activities; rather it is whatever social system at its best.
From index@GOOGLESURVEYQUOTES.txt@
index:GOOGLESURVEYQUOTES GoogleSurveyDisobedience However, while the Lord is still pursuing us, our disobedience may have a dramatic effect on the lives of those around us.
From index@GOOGLESURVEYQUOTES.txt@
index:GOOGLESURVEYQUOTES GoogleSurveyDisobedience In the Book of Joshua, we read that one man's disobedience caused the death of thirty-six men.
From index@GOOGLESURVEYQUOTES.txt@
index:GOOGLESURVEYQUOTES GoogleSurveyDisobedience What about the disobedience of divorce and the harm it causes the children?
From index@GOOGLESURVEYQUOTES.txt@
index:GOOGLESURVEYQUOTES GoogleSurveyDisobedience Or, because of the disobedience of someone in your family, perhaps those things are happening to you.
From index@GOOGLESURVEYQUOTES.txt@
index:GOOGLESURVEYQUOTES GoogleSurveyDisobedience I think that much of our disobedience in life comes from our too frequent habit of forgetting who God is and why we decided to worship Him in the first place.
From index@GOOGLESURVEYQUOTES.txt@
index:GOOGLESURVEYQUOTES GoogleSurveyDistrust All disobedience to God's laws, and distrust of his power and goodness, flow from disbelief of his word, as all true obedience springs from faith.
From index@GOOGLESURVEYQUOTES.txt@
index:GOOGLESURVEYQUOTES GoogleSurveyDistrust Distrust will always lead to disobedience.
From index@GOOGLESURVEYQUOTES.txt@
index:GOOGLESURVEYQUOTES GoogleSurveyDistrust For when God has spoken, in precept and yet more in promise, distrust involves, at least potentially, an element of disobedience.
From index@GOOGLESURVEYQUOTES.txt@
index:GOOGLESURVEYQUOTES GoogleSurveyDistrust When one class of people is robbed of their money to give to another class of people, no matter what the official propaganda says, it will create mutual distrust.
From index@GOOGLESURVEYQUOTES.txt@
index:GOOGLESURVEYQUOTES GoogleSurveyEnvy Disobedience in the sin of envy is both rebellion and ingratitude rolled into one.
From index@GOOGLESURVEYQUOTES.txt@
index:GOOGLESURVEYQUOTES GoogleSurveyEnvy As described in a story at Wired Magazine, an enterprising team from the Geography Department at Kansas State University has created a series of United States maps that purport to show incidence of the seven deadly sins mentioned in the Bible: greed, envy, wrath, sloth, gluttony, lust, and pride.
From index@GOOGLESURVEYQUOTES.txt@
index:GOOGLESURVEYQUOTES GoogleSurveyFoolishness Foolishness is also described in paradoxical terms in the New Testament.
From index@GOOGLESURVEYQUOTES.txt@
index:GOOGLESURVEYQUOTES GoogleSurveyForgiveness I believe forgiveness is a choice we make through a decision of our will, motivated by obedience to God and his command to forgive.
From index@GOOGLESURVEYQUOTES.txt@
index:GOOGLESURVEYQUOTES GoogleSurveyLust When a man and woman have loved each other so much that they have worked long and hard at a relationship that has lead to marriage, the marriagebed is where they can physically and spiritually consume each other in love, not lust.

index:GOOGLESURVEYQUOTES GoogleSurveyShyness Yoyo -- Moses's disobedience resulted from his "shyness." His "fear of man" is what motivated him to disobey the Lord.
From index@GOOGLESURVEYQUOTES.txt@
index:GOOGLESURVEYQUOTES GoogleSurveyStealing At the end of the Old Scriptures, the main problem issue identified is the same one that has been troubling God since Mt Sinai - Israel's unfaithfulness to God shown here by disobedience to the laws concerning stealing.
From index@GOOGLESURVEYQUOTES.txt@
index:GOOGLESURVEYQUOTES GoogleSurveyStress Disobedience and sin can produce stress and cut us off from the only means of peace and joy.
From index@GOOGLESURVEYQUOTES.txt@
index:GOOGLESURVEYQUOTES GoogleSurveyViolence Evangelist Franklin Graham has described his horror on finding so many Koranic passages that command the killing of infidels: the Koran, he thinks, "preaches violence." Prominent conservatives Paul Weyrich and William Lind argued that "Islam is, quite simply, a religion of war," and urged that Muslims be encouraged to leave US soil.
From index@GOOGLESURVEYQUOTES.txt@
index:GOOGLESURVEYQUOTES GoogleSurveyViolence Furthermore, I think it would be extremely difficult to use any of the words ascribed to Jesus to justify violence.
From index@GOOGLESURVEYQUOTES.txt@
index:GOOGLESURVEYQUOTES GoogleSurveyViolence The New Testament fulfills the Old Testament, not really abrogates, but the violence described in the Old Testament is essentially ended with the New Testament, which guides followers to a new direction of peace.
