The Foundations of Christian Faith for New/Near Believers.
Begun by: RandyP
Preface
For a long time I have personally sought to have a resource such as this. To have something tangible available to point new and near believers to that would help introduce to the foundational fundementals of our faith. To allow them to explore the essentials on their own, at their own pace, their own comfort level (Not to replace my one on one time face to face with them, but to add to that time something meaningful and edificial that they could pursue further).
I think that this could be that resource.
The problem with finding such a resource ready made has been that with people and situations being diferent, so to must be the delivery of the Gospel Message; the presentation must adapt.
- This is where the benefits of the 'Field Wise' wiki PCARR come into play;
- Readers can follow links and references off to wherever curiosity leads them.
- Contributors can contribute new and/or adapt content to better suit their audience's needs.
- Contributing can be something as simple as adding a verse or link to another article, or posting a comment, or as big as writting a new 'Child Thread'. Everyone has something to contribute. (see: home:UserContribution ).
I know that most of the people I encounter here in the States have had the Gospel evangelized to them in some shape or form. Perhaps a friend or associate, perhaps a Aunt or Grandmother, perhaps a tele-evangelist has offered you the 'Good News' of Jesus Christ, but, somehow that is as far as it went.
I am well aware that often within the confines of a short lunch room chat or an hour sermon or a brief bumper sticker that the message can feel pushy.
I know that most of the people whom I discuss the 'KingdomMessage' with come into this with an oddly gathered grasp of assorted (often contradictory) pieces of information regarding the Bible/Faith from an even odder sources (mostly secular). It is no wonder that they can't come to any difinitive conclusions.
So perhaps this will help you and me both.
I hope that you will take the time to explore this FoundationsOfFaith series and the many links and resources contained herein.
The FoundationsOfFaith series is simply organized:
Contents:
1. FoundationsOfFaith1 - The Good News! What all this hubbub is about.2. FoundationsOfFaith2 - The Gospel Of Jesus in a nut shell.
3. FoundationsOfFaith3 - Frequently asked questions of faith.
This PCARR Wiki thread utilizes the power of the 'pBiblx2 Field Wise Bible System' to present to you the scriptures and reference works that might help you. We include topical discussion boards and links to external resources that you can further pursue to gain understanding.
Effort has been made to allow the scriptures to speak for themselves as much as possible, pack in as many additional resources and links as possible, to organize them into a more cohesive summary.
In other words, we want you to be able to look into this as deeply and thuroughly as you want.
May our God bless all of your inquiries!

For those of you that have come to accept Jesus Christ as Lord and wish to continue beyond these foundations, might I suggest reading Andrew Murrays classic work 'The New Life: Words to Young Disciples of Christ' also available locally on this site extra:MurrayNewLife .
