UnityUtilization - RandyP
Unity of the members enabling the proper utilization of gifts.
kjv@Romans:12:5 @ So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another.
kjv@Romans:12:6 @ Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith;
kjv@Romans:12:7 @ Or ministry, let us wait on our ministering: or he that teacheth, on teaching;
kjv@Romans:12:8 @ Or he that exhorteth, on exhortation: he that giveth, let him do it with simplicity; he that ruleth, with diligence; he that sheweth mercy, with cheerfulness.
You'll find that a whole lot is said about the unity of the body and the proper use of gifts within that body.
In light of the previous verses in this passage kjv@Romans:12:1-4 I feel as though Paul is stressing that the enablement of these two items unity and utilization is dependent upon the successful implementation of the previous principals laid forth of mercy/sacrifice/transformation/sobriety of self.

Quoted resource: naves 'gifts'
The simple fact is that we have been called into the fellowship of Jesus Christ (kjv@1Corinthians:1:9) not into a fellowship of ourselves. Being in fellowship with Christ brings us into fellowship one to another (kjv@Hebrews:2:11). Whoever shall do the will of the Lord's Father shall be His brother (kjv@Matthew:12:50 kjv@Luke:8:21).
It would be hard to imagine that the brethren in Christ would not be one and utilizing the unique gifts bestowed upon them properly towards the benefit of the body and the glory of God. This is how we are to be known by others as having fellowship with God (kjv@Exodus:33:16 kjv@Leviticus:26:12).
Given the number of times Paul and other Bible writers beseech and exhort the one voice one body one message principal, I gather that it is much too common to see believers behaving otherwise.
As for the use of gifts it would be wise to consider:
kjv@Matthew:7:22 @ Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
kjv@Matthew:7:23 @ And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
First things must always be first:
kjv@Luke:10:27 @ And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself.
