Faith and Works
This is a stub to be developed
(Based on the text of kjv@James:2:14-20)
There is an initial faith in God's grace that is for our salvation kjv@Romans:10:9-13.
There is a further faith kjv@Galatians:5:22-23 that kjv@Proverbs:3:5-6 trusts acknowledges and is then directed to act for and upon God's will. A faith that a toddler would make to take his first steps. A faith that later allows for the boys correction by a coach for his next race. A faith that would continue in corrective process till the grown man then runs the marathon most effectually. This further faith then is a continual process, a means to eventual completion. kjv@2Peter:1:5-12 kjv@Ephesians:2:10 kjv@Philippians:1:6 kjv@1John:3:2
Works do not equal salvation, only grace kjv@Romans:11:6 . Works don't equal some final reward, only grace does kjv@Romans:9:16. Biblical deeds afford us the process of being refined toward a greater glory, a greater dependence, a practical immersive connection to God, a conduit kjv@1Corinthians:15:10 through which Christ lives and shines through the faithful toward one another.
We are to abide kjv@John:15:4. We are to produce fruit kjv@John:15:16. We are to be proven and tried kjv@1Corinthians:3:13 kjv@1Peter:1:5-9 kjv@Hebrews:11:32-40, refined and purified kjv@Titus:2:14. We are to be disciples following Jesus' own example and not just mere believers kjv@Matthew:20:28 kjv@Matthew:5:16.
