making pBiblx2 work productively for you!

by RandyP

Perhaps the easiest way to familiarize yourself with resources available the pBiblx2 Street Wise Bible System is to experiment with some key features first hand. Let us tour the practical possibilities together using some illustrative examples.
Remember that many of the facilities you find by mouse are also facilities that you can easily integrate into your notes so that the reader of your notes doesn't have to know the system in order to get full benefit. That is the power of the wiki like syntax adopted into pBiblx2... for the content author it is a dream come true!

Seeker

First, lets say we are interested in a particular topic; say salvation.
PCARR here has with simple bracket syntax automatically linked that word to a pBiblx2 component called "Seeker". Click on salvation now to see just how valuable this resource is. Here the word linked is immediately available to dictionaries and to indexes and bible filters and maps and much much more. Return here when finished.

Basic Searches

Perhaps this too much information. The second resource we'll look at is the word or phrase search in menu option "Bible and Tools".
Perhaps we know a few words of the verse that we are trying to locate; "faithful servant". Click on the link below to see this type of search then return back. Try your own phrase while your at it!
kjv@STRING:faithful+servant
The basic bible searching facility also allows for Book Chapter (Chapter Range) Verse (Verse Range) for verses that you know kjv@Psalms:27

New!

Boolean AND OR NOT searches:
kjv@STRING:lovely+AND+things
kjv@STRING:lovely+NOT+things
kjv@STRING:lovely+OR+beautiful
Without hardly any writing effort on your part, your verse or passage or phrase can be linked to or immediately quoted. Think of all the HTML code it would have taken you otherwise. It is as easy as 1... (just as it appears - direct link)
kjv@Psalms:103:1
or 2... ( qv bracket - direct quote)

kjv@Psalms:103:1 @ Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name.
